Check your bathroom wall heaters

Check your bathroom wall heaters

There have been recent fires in bathrooms with the recalled Serene S2068 heater installed. Check your heaters now to keep you and your business premises safe.

Do you have a wall-mounted heater in your bathroom at your business premises?

Do you own an accommodation business, such as a hotel, motel or holiday home, that has wall-mounted heaters in the bathrooms?

You should check the make and model of the heaters.

Take action now

Check the top side of your heater. If the model number says Serene S2068, stop using it now. This heater was recalled in April 2024 due to serious fire risk.

Look at Product Safety’s guidance on what to do next, including what to do if the heater is wired directly into your property rather than plugged into a wall socket.
