Once you become a registered motor vehicle trader it's important to understand and comply with your legal responsibilities.

You'll need to keep retrievable written or electronic sales records of each vehicle sold for at least 6 years, including buyer details, the price paid, and other contract details such as the make, model, and year, and the Vehicle Identification Number or chassis number.
