If you write business content or host useful business resources on your site that may be of interest to the wider business community, you could become a content provider for business.govt.nz.
All you need to do is select the type of information you wish to submit and fill out the form.
We review and assess every piece of content before publishing it onto the site. It’s a way of ensuring that all information on business.govt.nz is accurate, relevant and up-to-date.
Content provider agreement
All our content providers need to sign a content provider agreement with us. The contract explains the legal requirements around the supply and use of content. It also outlines what you can expect from us and what your obligations are. Read a copy of our content provider agreement
(112KB, 9 pages) to understand what’s involved in providing content for business.govt.nz.
If you only want to submit news feeds, business and industry contacts and upcoming business events, you don’t need to sign a contract with us.
Harvesting
Business.govt.nz takes a new approach when it comes to presenting information. Instead of linking straight to other websites, we use a technique called syndication, or ‘harvesting’ to display the content in our style on our website. By adding HTML tags to the source code of your content, we can harvest it on business.govt.nz.
The result is a more user-friendly site which is easy to navigate. We do of course attribute each piece of information to the content provider and ensure that it only takes one click to visit your site.
